Halloween.
I can't really explain why, but it's absolutely my favorite
holiday. Some people are Xmas people, some people are 4th
of July people, hell, some people are even St. Patrick's Day
people, but I, my friends, am a Halloween person.
I
suppose it's a combination of things that makes me love Halloween
so much:
1.
You can do most anything that's legal on Halloween.
2.
You aren't expected to spend Halloween with family members.
3.
Candy, candy, candy.
4.Dead
things. Need I say more?
5.
Goths rule!
6.
Autumn is the best time of year. Things are cooling down,
the leaves go all colorful, and football is in season. All
this and dead things too?!!!
7.
It's the only time of year when the rest of the world cottons
to my own personal aesthetic.
8.
Scaring people is a hobby of mine. At Halloween, it's socially
acceptable.
9.
You can be whoever you dream of being on Halloween.
10.
Carving pumpkins gets out so much supressed anger.
Some
of my fondest childhood memories revolve around Halloween.
I'll be posting some of the stories here. In the meantime
check out the pics. Most are of my brother Chris and I back
when we thought we could build anything out of cardboard.
A few are more recent pics of of Jen and me, and a few are
of friends. A big spooky thanks to everyone who's contributed
so far.
